Celebrate Gold Coast highlights what makes our city great!

Whether it is the Gold Coast's envious beach culture, or the green behind the gold, the event shines a light on what the city has to offer.

In 2017, the event turned its focus to the city's sporting achievements in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games. The day was hosted at the brand new Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre at Carrara and featured different interactive sporting events, an array of active and healthy activities, live entertainment, fitness demonstrations and plenty of features to wear the kids out.

The National Basketball league (NBL) also returned to the Gold Coast with an official game of the 2017-18 season, which saw the Brisbane Bullets defeat Melbourne United by two points, 87-85.
