Gold Coast Community Transport
Provides transport for groups of people with disabilities or frail aged.

Council Cab
Council Cab assists older people over 60 and those with a disability with travel to their local shopping centre. Each Council Cab trip costs $2.00, that’s only $4.00 for a return journey to the shops. It operates in most areas of the Gold Coast on allocated days.
Transcord Community Transport Organisation Inc
Community transport service for the frail aged and people with a disability and their carers. Includes medical appointments. Operates Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Volunteering Gold Coast Transport Services
Community transport service to shopping and social activity centres for frail, aged, elderly, disabled or disadvantaged residents of the Gold Coast. Token cost for trips. Transport assistance to young people 15 to 17 years who find it hard to get an alternative education.

Buses
The Gold Coast and Tweed Shire region in northern New South Wales is serviced by many buses. In Queensland, the highway routes are wheelchair accessible with many other routes also operating low-floor bus services.
To clarify which buses are wheelchair accessible on New South Wales and Queensland routes, customers are asked to phone (07) 5571 6555.

Taxis
Gold Coast Cabs offer wheelchair accessible taxis catering for two wheelchairs per vehicle. All operators have undergone specialist training. Pre-booking would be appreciated.
