International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Award

City of Gold Coast is a proud recipient of an IFEA World Festival and Event City Award for 2018.

The Gold Coast has again claimed the title of one of the world's top event destinations for the second year running, cementing the city's reputation as a global event destination.

The award submission was a joint initiative between City of Gold Coast, Destination Gold Coast and Tourism Events Queensland.

The Award recognises "the best in community leadership and festival and event partnerships around the world"; granted to cities that openly encourage, support and recognise positive local environments for festivals and events.
