Live Music Advisory Group

Please note: this opportunity is now closed.

Recently, the City endorsed the Draft Live Music Action Plan 2017-2020. This plan provides a blueprint for the City that will positively impact the live music sector on the Gold Coast by providing access to resources, promotion of Gold Coast music nationally and internationally, and stronger partnerships across all tiers of government, peak bodies, and private enterprise.

Before the full plan is presented to Council for endorsement during May 2017, a live music regulatory taskforce is being convened to address fundamental planning and regulatory issues on the Gold Coast. Recommendations from the taskforce will better inform Council and the outcome of the Live Music Action Plan 2017-2020.

The role of the Live Music Advisory Group will be to assist the Live Music Taskforce in making recommendations to Council on important regulatory issues such as liquor licensing, noise and the City Plan.

Outcomes of this important work will inform the City's Live Music Action Plan 2017-2020.

Terms of Reference are available and ideally you will be available to attend three meetings between January and April 2017. It is anticipated that the taskforce will remain current for 12 to 18 months.

To register your interest, please send a succinct CV and a one paragraph response outlining your connection to the Gold Coast music scene by Tuesday 24 January to cultural@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.
