More information about parking in Mudgeeraba

By aligning short and medium term timed parking in locations identified with ideal usage requirements we can better manage the growing demand for parking in Mudgeeraba, and ensure that everyone has access to our amenities and businesses.

In addition to the minor time restriction changes, in-ground parking sensors will be installed in a number of car parking spaces, in the town centre, to monitor vehicle movement. The sensors will record vehicle movement and assist in establishing future parking trends and requirements. These sensors are not capable of identifying individual vehicles; they will record when a parking space is occupied, and the duration of the vehicles stay.

Works to install new signage and in-ground sensors will take place during off-peak periods to minimise impacts to nearby residents and businesses.

A review of the works will be undertaken 12 months from implementation.

These new parking regulations will:

  • increase vehicle turnover of parking spaces in high demand areas, to improve parking availability at peak times
  • reduce congestion and the number of cars circulating to look for parking
  • increase accessibility to local amenities, improving convenience for motorists.

Visit the TransLink Journey Planner website for sustainable travel choices or download the MyTransLink app for mobile use.
