Sing along to your favourite Christmas tunes at the seventh annual Mayor’s Christmas Carols on 1 December at Broadwater Parklands, presented by Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast.

Regarded as the premier Christmas event on the Gold Coast the night will be headlined by singing superstars Kate Ceberano and Anthony Callea, supported by local sensation Lisa Hunt and the Gold Coast’s very own acapella trio The Lions Den, alongside an impressive cast of talent.

With fun for the whole family the kids can be the first to see Santa this Christmas and sing along to their favourite Carols and PJ Masks Christmas Show. The night will also boast delicious food trucks and spectacular fireworks finale.

Embrace the Gold Coast Christmas spirit under the stars at the Mayor’s Christmas Carols. This free family-friendly event is hosted by Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast Ambassador Shelley Craft.

Interactive kids’ fun commences at 2pm with the main show kicking off at 5pm.

  • Is the event free?

    Yes. Kids fun and the stage performances are absolutely free. Just bring a blanket, some chairs and/or cushions and take a seat on the lawn to enjoy the entertainment.  

  • What’s not free?

    There will be a bunch of food vendors serving delicious snacks and drinks that can be purchased on the night.

    Christmas novelty products will be available for purchase from Paradise Kids and Starlight Foundation. There will be an ATM available at the event.

  • What will I see at the event?

  • What should I wear?

    Feel free to show your festive spirit and wear a Christmas themed outfit, or just wear something comfortable. 

  • What time is the event?

    Kids fun starts at 2pm with the main show starting at 5pm. A spectacular fireworks finale will end the evening. 

  • Where can I park?

    Limited parking available on site at Broadwater Parklands. Free parking is available from 3pm at the following surrounding carparks:

    • Carey Park Carpark - Marine Parade
    • Athol Paterson Carpark - Suter Street
    • Mal Burke Carpark - Hicks Street
    • Cloyne Road Carpark - Cloyne Road

    Australia Fair carpark (Marine Parade) will have three hours free parking for the first three hours for patrons attending the event. For parking over three hours, rates will apply.

  • What public transport will get me there?

    Catch the G:Link to the Broadwater Parklands or jump on a bus and travel to and from the venue. Check out www.translink.com.au to plan your journey.  

    Additionally, you can make your journey active and ride, scoot or walk to the event.

  • Can I bring alcohol?

    No.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    For the wellbeing of all attending the event, we recommend pets are left at home.

  • What if it rains?

    If the event is cancelled due to wet weather or for any other reason, we will update the Facebook event page, or listen to 102.9 Hot Tomato for updates. 

  • What food will be available?

    There will be a huge line up of the Gold Coast’s favourite food trucks.
