Public Transport

Council works in partnership with the community and TransLink to provide a number of public transport options from Council bus and taxi services to heavy rail.

After a big night out, get home cheaply and safely on Council's NightLink - a late-night bus service operating after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you need a lift after midnight, NightLink services will pick you up from selected stops and drop you off where it is safe to do so along their route, making it easy for you to get around. These services are in addition to the 24/7 route 700 bus service between Southport and Tweed Heads.

You can get home after a big night out for the cost of a normal bus fare. To make your journey easier, use your go card. Easy come, easy go with go card. Normal TransLink fares apply.

NightLink buses run hourly from midnight with bus stops at popular pick up locations in Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta.

Security cameras have been installed on all NightLink buses and our friendly bus drivers will drop you off anywhere along the route, where it is safe to do so.
