Performing arts

City of Gold Coast is dedicated to supporting the work and development of its local performing artists.

Through funding opportunities and sector development programs of activity, key areas for support include (but are not limited to) circus, physical theatre and dance.

The key cultural facility for the city is HOTA, Home of the Arts (formerly The Arts Centre Gold Coast). HOTA is the Gold Coast's home of live performances with a unique outdoor stage in the parklands for live events, and two indoor theatres that feature performances from the very best local national and international artists and theatre companies.

Additionally, through HOTA Homegrown, HOTA supports home companies The Farm, Everybody NOW and Supercell Festival of Contemporary Dance.
