Artbox aims to reduce graffiti on the City’s traffic signal boxes, beautify our neighbourhoods and support local artists. The initiative showcases selected artworks that are installed on traffic signal boxes across the Gold Coast. It is part of our graffiti prevention strategy.
Traffic signal boxes can be targeted with graffiti due to their visible locations at major intersections. To counter this, we engage with local artists, schools and community groups and install their artworks onto these boxes using high quality laminate.
