Artbox is an initiative to reduce graffiti on the City’s traffic signal boxes, beautify our neighbourhoods, and support local artists. The initiative showcases artworks installed on traffic signal boxes across the Gold Coast. It is part of our graffiti prevention strategy.
Traffic signal boxes can be targeted with graffiti due to their visible locations at major intersections. To counter this, we deliver Artbox by engaging with local artists, schools and community groups to install artwork onto the boxes with high quality laminate.
