The Creative Control arts incubator is for artists, changemakers and adventurers to develop greater business skills.

This series of in-person workshops brings together Gold Coast artists, creatives and collectives to:

  • establish sustainable creative business practices
  • create innovative content that achieves positive social, cultural, economic and environmental impacts
  • plan, start, effectively manage and grow your creative practice, business, organisation, enterprise.

What is it?

Creative Control arts incubator is for any artform. It incorporates the Build Your Business Program and is delivered by Michael Doneman from Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship.

Build Your Business is a program that assists you to develop your small creative business with:

  • 5 full-day workshops (Saturdays for 5 weeks)
  • in-person learning
  • training, coaching and peer support
  • focus on planning, executing and sustainability
  • fun and practical learning experiences with formal training
  • participants who successfully complete the program will be issued a statement of attendance upon completion
  • additional one-on-one coaching and professional development opportunities will be available.

Creative Control is a Council-led initiative funded through The Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and the City of Gold Coast Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
