First Nations Celebration 2024

Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander creative who lives on the Gold Coast?

Apply to be part of First Nations Celebration.

We will elevate and promote 14 First Nations creatives on our arts and culture social media platforms during Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week 2024.

This initiative will showcase the diversity and excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives across the Gold Coast.

Successful applicants will receive a stipend of $257.


This artist call out is specifically for those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

To be eligible for this opportunity you must be:

  • of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • a permanent resident of the Gold Coast
  • an Australian citizen or a permanent resident
  • able to provide all required video, visual and written content with associated credits and tags.

You must be able to supply:

  • 1-2 high-res press shots of yourself with photographer credits
  • 1-2 high-res photos or videos of a project or work you have completed
  • 50-100 word biography
  • all relevant social media tags. 

Exclusions: You are not eligible to apply for this opportunity if you:

  • do not meet the eligibility criteria above
  • are an employee of Gold Coast City Council
  • have an outstanding Regional Arts Development Fund Outcome Report. 

Only applications that meet the eligibility requirements will be assessed.
