Events

We host many events across the year to acknowledge and celebrate the cultural diversity of our residents and visitors.

Harmony week

Harmony Week is supported by the Australian Government. It occurs annually in March with Harmony Day on 21 March which is the United Nations' International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The theme of Harmony Week is 'Everyone Belongs'. It is about respect, inclusion and belonging for all Australians – regardless of cultural background.

Visit the Harmony Week website to check out what's happening in your area. You may also find useful tips and resources to plan an event for your workplace, school, sporting club or community group.

In previous years, we partnered with the Gold Coast Multicultural Network to create a pop-up Harmony event. Watch the video produced by Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast.
