Cultural heritage
The City of Gold Coast local government area contains cultural heritage of significance to the people of the Gold Coast and Queensland. We have a unique and diverse cultural heritage.
The City of Gold Coast identifies places of local cultural heritage significance in the Gold Coast Local Heritage Register and Heritage Overlay, and protects listed places in the City Planning Scheme for future generations.
Anyone can propose a place for entry to the Gold Coast Local Heritage Register.
For further information about the Gold Coast Local Heritage Register and nomination process, please refer to the Gold Coast Local Heritage Register page.
