Zhuhai, meaning Pearl Sea for its location at the juncture of the Pearl River and South Sea, is a city encapsulating 146 islands. The beaches and coastal lifestyle draw domestic visitors to its shores every summer and Zhuhai was named China's most liveable city in 2014. Zhuhai was one of the first Special Economic Zones in mainland China and with the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Zhuhai is the only city in China connected to Hong Kong and Macau by land.
