Free trees

A selection of native trees and shrubs are available every year through our Free Tree Program.

The species offered vary throughout the year and depend on availability. Generally, the plants range in size from tube stock to 200-millimetre pots.

Residents – 2023 collection dates and locations

The program is open between January and May each year. The program of distribution sites for next year will be published by Christmas 2022.

Residents can collect 3 free trees per household. If you will be collecting trees for more than one property, you will need to provide a current rates notice for each property.

All free trees are to be planted on your property, not on Council-controlled land.

Body corporates

Body corporates or unit complex managers are eligible to receive 10 free trees per complex per year. All requests must be on letterhead and accompanied with details of 5 ratepayers from the unit complex.
