Take the kids to the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens these school holidays to explore nature with the Agents of Discovery app.

Mayor Tom Tate said the app uses augmented reality to lead kids on an adventure, encouraging them to get active and outside.

“We have the world’s greatest backyard and kids love exploring, and the app is able to combine the best of both worlds,” Mayor Tate said.

“Download the Gold Coast missions and join Agent Goldie the Greater Glider who will lead you through the gardens to learn about our incredible botanical world.”

There are three customised Gold Coast missions located at the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens themed around:

  • Bees, butterflies and birds,
  • Indigenous trail, and
  • Nature’s playground.

To play, download the free app from Google Play or the App Store and choose one of the Gold Coast missions.

Play anytime or view the City’s event calendar for planned events and search for Agents of Discovery.

There is a South East Queensland Explorer campaign during the school holidays with a chance to win prizes. To find out more, visit goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Things-to-do/Exploring-nature
