A start-studded line-up featuring Dami Im and Kate Miller-Heidke will light up the stage when the Mayor’s Christmas Carols returns for 2021.

An all Queensland cast will join the pair, including Warner Bros. Movie World’s Looney Tunes Christmas Show, David Devito, Frankie and the Holiday Seasons and the Brisbane City Gospel Choir.

The family-friendly festivities will also feature a spectacular firework finale, meet and greets with Looney Tunes characters and a visit from the big man in red himself.

Mayor Tom Tate said he was counting down the days until the iconic event.

“Santa is coming to town and he’s bringing a festive fiesta of fun to HOTA.

“Last year Covid-19 forced us to swap our picnic blankets for the couch with a virtual event, so we’re looking forward to coming together for the carols this year at a new location,” said Mayor Tate.

Chief Executive Officer of Village Roadshow Clark Kirby said the theme park operator was overjoyed to come onboard as the event’s presenting partner.

“Our theme parks bring joy to families every day so we’re excited to help deliver a bumper night of entertainment for the Gold Coast community.

“Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Sylvester and Daffy Duck will all be joining Santa on the day to get the Christmas party started,” he said.

Wesley Kids is the chosen charity for this year’s event and will be onsite raising funds for mental health services for Gold Coast children and their families.

The Mayor’s Christmas Carols presented by Village Roadshow Theme Parks are proudly supported by 7NEWS Gold Coast,1029 Hot Tomato and Home of the Arts (HOTA).
