City-wide Grants Program

The City-wide Grants Program (formerly the Community Grants Program) is a highly competitive program that provides funding each financial year to support community organisations to deliver projects which provide city-wide benefits to Gold Coast residents.

The program is specifically focused on projects that deliver broad community benefit. If your community organisation's project is divisionally focused, please apply via the Discretionary Grants Program.

The City-wide Grants Program is offered once a year with applications opening each financial year. Funding decisions are made by Council.

Grant funding under this program is allocated in accordance with the Community Grants Policy. Community organisations must review the policy prior to submitting an application to ensure eligibility requirements are met. Ineligible applications will not be considered (including those applications that have a divisional focus or do not propose projects that benefit the whole of the city).

Applicants are strongly advised to review their application before submission to ensure it demonstrates how the delivery of the project will benefit the whole of the Gold Coast and its residents. Projects proposing a divisionally focused project or providing a benefit to a small number of individuals will not be considered for this program.
