Seniors Month Grants Program

Queensland Seniors Month is celebrated from 1 to 31 October each year and celebrates the valuable contribution that seniors make to our city.

We will be accepting grant applications from community organisations to deliver local activities to connect through free or low-cost activities.

Applicants must:

  • operate within the Gold Coast
  • have an adequate level of public liability insurance for the project (where appropriate)
  • not be an ineligible applicant.

Ineligible applicants are defined under Council's Community Grants Policy.

Project requirements

Applicants must be able to:

  • deliver a project that celebrates Seniors Month within the dates set annually by the Queensland Government
  • demonstrate a public interest benefit for the project
  • demonstrate that the project has a defined outcome that will benefit residents of the Gold Coast.

Acquittal requirements

All community grants must be acquitted within 8 weeks of project's completion.

Grant recipients with an overdue acquittal report may not be eligible to apply for further community grants. If you have difficulties delivering your project as described in your application, you must notify us immediately.
