Gold Coast seniors can step back into the disco era at the Mayor's annual Seniors Concert on 13 October at HOTA, Home of the Arts, featuring live music, cirque acrobatics and dazzling costumes.

Mayor Tom Tate is encouraging older Gold Coasters to secure their free tickets to The Mayor’s Seniors Concert: Disco! Disco! early to avoid missing out.

“Tickets for this popular concert are expected to go quickly when they become available from 9am this Monday 21 September,” Mayor Tate said.

Held in October during Seniors Month, the 60-minute concert celebrates the valuable contribution older people make to the community while encouraging social connection.

“This concert is our way of celebrating and thanking Gold Coast seniors for the contribution they make to our community,” Mayor Tate said.

Hosted by Emcee Jerome and his sidekick La La, the show delivers high-energy dance performances, dazzling costumes and jaw-dropping acrobatics inspired by the disco era.

“This year's concert is a celebration of the 70s, with chart-topping hits, dance and plenty of opportunities for audience participation,” Mayor Tate said.

“It’s a great opportunity to get together with friends, enjoy fantastic entertainment and relive the spirit of the disco era.”

Seniors can choose from three show times: 9:30am, 12pm and 2:30pm.
