Residents can ring in the new year in style with dazzling fireworks displays and free family entertainment at multiple Gold Coast locations.

Mayor Tom Tate said the City has events catering for everyone, from Coomera to Coolangatta, and for families and night owls alike.

“Enjoy a DJ in Coomera and live entertainment at the Broadwater Parklands, with both locations offering early fireworks and tasty food trucks,” he said.

“The City will also host spectacular fireworks by the sea at Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Coolangatta.”

Pet owners are reminded to check on their furry friends, as loud noises like fireworks can spook them.

“Ensure their enclosure is secure or bring them indoors, and make sure they’re wearing a collar with a name and registration tag,” Mayor Tate said.

Consider using public transport or active travel. Plan your trip with Translink's journey planner. For more information about all events visit What’s On Gold Coast.
