Councillor Hammel has lived in Division 1 all his life. Elected in 2020, he focuses on road upgrades, improved parks and sports fields, new footpaths and bikeways, and better public transport. He chairs the Planning and Environment Committee and is a member of the Water and Waste, Transport and Infrastructure, Audit and Risk, and Local Disaster Management committees.
