Free trees
A selection of trees and shrubs, including natives, are available every year through our Free Trees Program.
The species offered vary throughout the year and depend on availability. Generally, the plants range in size from tube stock to 200-millimetre pots.
Residents
Free trees are available for residents to pick up on selected Thursdays between January and June, at locations across the city.
Residents can collect 3 free trees* per household. If you'd like to collect trees for more than one property, you'll need to bring a current rates notice for each property.
All free trees must be planted on your property, not on Council-controlled land.
*Free Tress are subject to availability. Collection points operate from 8am to 2pm, or until all trees are given away.
