The 2022-23 City Budget has been handed down with the average residential rate increase for owner-occupied properties again under the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Road repairs, improved cycleways, new bridge works and pedestrian pathways top the list of the City’s $285.6 million investment in transport for 2022-23.
The City will continue its push to protect more green and open space across the Gold Coast, with $22 million allocated towards Greenheart over the next two years.
The City will invest $560 million across key waste management, sewerage and water service programs in 2022-23 – almost one third of the entire $1.7 billion City budget.
More than $55 million will be invested to boost our city’s economic credentials in areas including marine, film, television, tourism and small business.
The City will invest more than $20 million across a range of safety projects, following the delivery of the 2022-23 Annual Budget today.
