Major Events Gold Coast (MEGC)

MEGC's charter is to drive tourism and economic benefit to the Gold Coast through the strategic production, acquisition and investment in major events. Their team of event specialists is determined to ignite the city with a vibrant array of festivals, sporting and cultural events that embrace diversity and showcase the Gold Coast as a world class, global events destination.

Tourism & Events Queensland (TEQ) events support

TEQ invests in and/or supports events across three major program groups being:

  • Major Event Investment
  • Queensland Destination Events Program
  • Business Events

Destination Gold Coast (DGC) marketing support

DGC is the official destination marketing body for the Gold Coast and recognises the importance of events in driving visitation to our city. Complete a free Australian Tourism Data Warehouse listing to feature on DGC's website, or contact marketing@destinationgoldcoast.com.

Local Councillor support

Gold Coast Councillors are supportive of events that are designed to provide a benefit to the city and to the residents of their community.

Community Grants Program

The City's Community Grants Programs are designed to assist community organisations to deliver projects or events that benefit the residents of the Gold Coast and promote community outcomes.

Community grant programs run on an annual basis, generally from 1 July. To be eligible to apply for a community grant, community organisations must demonstrate that the project or event meets the objectives of the funding program and is aligned to the City's Vision, Gold Coast 2022.
