Request a rates and water search before settlement to confirm the following:
- address details
- property description
- details of rates and water charges
- water meter reading (if connected)
- conditions or notifications on the property if applicable
- current financial position (i.e. outstanding balances, concessions applied or interest owing).
Data is accurate at the time of extraction and is used for conveyancing purposes. Once a search request has been submitted, you can request updated figures for a specific settlement date free of charge. You can request updated figures for a specific settlement date free of charge.

Fees
Fees are payable for all search requests.

If you would like to pay by account, use the Application for credit account form(PDF, 167KB) to apply for a Business Partner account.
Cancellation fees may vary depending on the progress of a requested search. If you need to cancel a search, submit a request by email to search@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.
Processing time
We email search results when completed. This is normally within 10 business days of receipt of the application.
