Planning our city

City of Gold Coast manages growth and development across our city. We do this through ongoing investigations, monitoring and engagement with our community.

The City Plan commenced on 2 February 2016. Since then, we have made a series of amendments to respond to emerging opportunities and reflect community aspirations.

While the City Plan remains in effect, work has commenced on a new Planning Scheme and Local Growth Management Strategy for the Gold Coast.
