Concurrency plumbing & drainage applications

When you are carrying out building work to add one or more bedrooms to a house in a non-sewered area, you must apply for a concurrency certificate. To apply, you will need to submit a concurrency report showing that the existing on-site sewerage facility can cope with the additional load created by the extra bedroom(s).

A concurrency report must be compiled by a site and soil evaluator who holds the appropriate Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) licence.

For more information see Planning Regulation 2017, Schedule 9, Table 11.
