Insurance

After a disaster you should contact your insurer as soon as possible to find out what is covered on your policy and ask advice on repairs and building work that is required at your property. Ensure you keep records and take photos of any damage to property and contents.

Mental health support

Disasters and emergency events can be traumatic. If you're experiencing emotional stress or need mental health support, help is available here:

Clean up & waste removal

  • Report any fallen trees that are a risk to the community via the City of Gold Coast App or Report a problem
  • Put food waste into your general waste bin or take to your nearest Waste and Recycle Centres or temporary drop-off points
  • Place smaller green waste in your green organics bin
  • Take larger green waste and storm debris to our Waste and Recycling Centres
