We are reconstructing Monaco Street to improve the condition of the road and reduce the need for regular maintenance.
Construction details
- Removing and replacing asphalt and pavement for the full length of Monaco Street from Kiah Avenue to Fremar Street (approximately 380 metres) and south of Fremar Street (approximately 108 metres).
- Kerb and channel reconstruction for approximately 80 metres on the eastern side of Monaco Street
- Driveway reconstruction to match in with kerb and channel works for one property
- Reconstruct one stormwater line and repair of another
- Upgrade stormwater gully inlet pits
- Reinstate traffic control devices, line marking and reflectors
Impacts during construction
Civil works are to be completed between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday (and Saturdays as required) over an approximate 12-week period.
Asphalt resurfacing works will be completed as night works between 6:30pm and 6:30am Monday to Friday over a 3-night period, weather pending.
We will be working to minimise disruptions, however, nearby residents and businesses will encounter traffic disruptions, limited access, construction noise and dust.
