Works are underway to construct a shared path connection from Highland Reserve State School to Skyridge Drive and Stephens Street.

Construction details

  • Construct a new 2-metre wide shared path on the eastern side of Highland Way between the Community Centre and Stephens Street, including a connection from Highland Way to Stephens Street and a crossing point to Skyridge Drive. The new path will be 390 metres long.
  • New street trees to provide shade and amenity for the new path.

What to expect during construction

  • Work hours between 6:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (night works for asphalt to reduce traffic impacts)
  • Temporary lane closures, traffic delays and detours
  • Typical construction noise, dust and vibrations at times
  • Temporary lighting for night works

  • New pathways compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and improved kerbside accessibility
