We are upgrading the Merrimac Sewage Treatment Plant to support future growth within the Merrimac catchment. The works will increase the plant's capacity by 110,000 equivalent persons and help us to better service and maintain the existing ageing infrastructure.
Work hours will be from 6:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with limited weekend and night works as needed.
General construction noise may be experienced close to the site. There will be some additional construction traffic on Boowaggan Road.
We will minimise impacts for the local community as much as practical. Regular noise monitoring will be performed on site and in local surrounding areas to ensure compliance with our approvals.
