We’re relocating the Green Organics Pad (Go Pad) at Merrimac Waste and Recycling Centre to make space for the expansion of the Sewage Treatment Plant, which is commencing sooner than planned.

The existing GO Pad will be closed from 7 September 2026 and the new and larger GO Pad is scheduled to open March 2027.

The main entrance will be relocated to increase vehicle queuing space for a better customer experience on busy days.

The upgrade supports our long-term plan to improve essential waste services to meet community needs and make the Merrimac area a better and more resilient place to live.
