Miami – Albion Avenue stormwater works

We have completed Stage 1 of rectification works on the stormwater network in Albion Ave, Miami.

Regular testing detected a leak in the stormwater pipes between Snipe Street and Dawn Parade. The leak has caused some road subsidence.

Works to rectify this leak are being completed in 2 stages.

Our work may impact access to residential properties at times. If this occurs, advanced notice will be provided to any affected residents.

Construction details

Stage 1: Joint sealing – completed July 2023

We successfully sealed the joins between the underground concrete stormwater pipes.

Survey markers were also installed on the road to track any further road settlement.

Stage 2: Road resurfacing – mid-2024

After monitoring the road for 12 months, we plan to complete road pavement surfacing works of the Albion Ave road pavement between Snipe Street and Dawn Parade.

Construction activities will include concrete works, saw cutting and excavation.

We will introduce temporary road closures for the safety of our workers during this time. Traffic management will be in place to direct motorists.
