The Gold Coast’s marine sector is one of our high-value industries and supports over 4600 local jobs. The largest in Queensland, the sector specialises in the manufacture, servicing, refit and repair of recreational watercraft.

The Northern Marine Precinct at Steiglitz already hosts a range of specialist marine businesses. Steiglitz is one of only a few locations that has the required characteristics to support and accommodate the expansion of the marine industry within the city.

Master planning has begun. It will look at potential land use opportunities in the precinct and explore how the project can deliver broader benefits to the northern Gold Coast area. The master plan will guide land use planning activities which will inform future changes to the Gold Coast City Plan. Community and industry stakeholder engagement will inform the master plan.
