Upgrades to Weka Parklands will provide a greater variety of activities for the growing local community to enjoy.

Park upgrades

• A new full size basketball court – completed
• A new concrete skate park also suitable for both scooters and BMX bikes – to be completed in 2024, with community feedback December 2024
• Proposed relocation of the fenced dog off leash area to a more accessible area. Community consultation will be held in 2023 to decide the best location – completed
• Seating, dog bag waste collection and drinking fountain/dog bowl relocation – completed
• New dog agility equipment installation – completed
• Connection concrete pathways to new dog-off-leash to be completed early 2025

An online survey was conducted in December 2024 to help inform the detailed design.
