Paradise Point Parklands playground

Upgrades to Paradise Point Parklands will improve the accessibility of picnic facilities and deliver a new inclusive playground.

Project information

Paradise Point Parklands is one of our most popular parks located at the northern end of the Gold Coast.

The Parklands are home to a new Changing Places toilet facility, catering for people with disabilities and high support needs.

Upgrades to the playground and picnic facilities will help to improve the accessibility and standard of these facilities for all those visiting the parkland and deliver an inclusive playground. The playground will provide an engaging and inclusive play space that welcomes children and families of all abilities to learn, play and grow together.

Community consultation

We consulted with the community about the new playground design in 2023.

We will consult the community again during the concept design. The consultation will be advertised on signage at the site.

Benefits for the community

Proposed upgrades include:

  • Inclusive play equipment to cater for a diversity of ages and abilities
  • Wheelchair accessible picnic facilities including barbeques and furniture
  • Upgrade of playground surfacing to improve accessibility to equipment
