We're upgrading the Mebbin Street and Old Pacific Highway intersection to improve safety, ease congestion and support the growing Pimpama community.

Construction details

  • Installing traffic signals at the Mebbin Street and Old Pacific Highway intersection
  • Upgrading stormwater drainage, street lighting and associated roadworks
  • Constructing new pathways, kerb ramps and cycle transition maps to meet safety and Disability Discrimination Act 1992 requirements

What to expect during construction

You may experience:

  • temporary traffic changes and delays
  • reduced speed limits and traffic management in the work area
  • increased heavy vehicles and machinery activity
  • construction noise, vibration and dust.

Please follow all traffic signs and speed limits when travelling through the area.

Works will be staged to minimise disruption. We will continue to keep the community informed throughout construction.
