Background
The Yawalpah Road upgrade is included in the City's Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) and is guided by the Gold Coast City Transport Strategy 2031.
Currently, the road configuration varies with two and four lane sections, with upgrades previously delivered by both the City and developers.
The Coomera Connector, M1 Exit 49 upgrade and the new Pimpama Rail Station (Queensland Government projects) have been considered as part of the planning design and construction of the Yawalpah Road upgrade.
