Southport – Musgrave Park upgrade

Musgrave Park is a popular district park. It provides 19 hectares of valuable open space with a large dog off leash exercise area, recreational facilities and a network of pathways that provide connections to key surrounding areas.

The park has been identified for upgrades to meet the demand created by population growth in line with the Gold Coast City Plan.

Benefits for the community

The design will provide opportunities for:

improved grass cover and drainage
pathway upgrades and lighting to key path connections
shelters and park furniture
accessibility improvements

Community consultation

We invited the community to partake in a survey from Thursday 30 June to 13 July 2022, to understand how the community wish to use and conserve the park. Results will help shape the direction of park upgrades. For results, please refer to the Community Consultation Summary Report(PDF, 3MB)
