If you are planning to say ‘I do’ on the golden sands of the Gold Coast, you must first apply for a permit. There are no application or permit fees.
Beach weddings are approved for simple ceremonies only. Ceremonies are limited to 2 hours in length – including set up – and a maximum of 50 people. These limits keep the impact on the environment and other beach users to a minimum. Beach weddings are unsuitable for large formal weddings.
Some beaches are unavailable for beach weddings or have limited access during major events.
Scheduled events or activities may conflict with your event. Visit our website to check for events that may be on at the same time of your preferred site and date.
