Amend a food business licence or food safety program

Use this application to:

  • modify the fit-out of the food premises
  • amend an accredited food safety program
  • request a change to conditions of approval
  • update vehicle registration details
  • change business or contact information.

You can not use this application to change the licensee.

How to apply

Only the licensee may apply to amend a food business licence or accredited food safety program.

Fees do not apply for changes to business or contact information, updates to vehicle registration numbers, or other amendments if the licensee is eligible for nil fee. Should fees apply, you will be issued an invoice with payment required before your application is processed.

You are eligible for nil fee if:

  • you own, rent or lease a rateable property within the City of Gold Coast, or
  • are a registered charity, voluntary sporting, community, religious or incorporated not for profit organisation.

Step 1.Gather your documents

You will need to attach the following supporting information to your application:

  • If applying to modify the fit out of the food premises:
    • Details of the equipment, fixtures and fittings that is proposed to be removed or added
    • Changes to cooking and ventilation equipment – including types, energy type/rating and ventilation systems.
    • Amended floor plans/cross-section drawings to scale detailing the proposed changes
  • If amending an accredited food safety program:
    • Summary of changes to food safety program
    • Copy of amended food safety program
  • Details of any other changes to the licence
