Overgrown grass & weeds

We mow the grass in our parks and median strips on a rotating roster. Sometimes weather conditions will encourage the grass to grow faster than normal.

If you are concerned that overgrown grass or weeds on public land could cause a health and safety problem (such as snakes or vermin), please complete our online overgrown grass or weeds form.

We are now in our spring mowing cycle. Grass is cut every 3 to 4 weeks.

Report overgrown grass or weeds

We do not mow grassed footpaths and nature strips in front of private residential, commercial or industrial properties. You are responsible for mowing the footpaths and nature strips outside your property. If you are unable to mow your footpath or nature strip due to financial or medical reasons, you can apply for us to mow it for you. For information on how to apply, please see our Grass footpath & nature strip mowing page.
