Who can apply?
Organisations must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.
If you have an existing permit, do not apply for a new one. You can amend your existing permit to update car or contact details by visiting our Amend/cancel a parking permit page.

Conditions of use
The conditions of use for not-for-profit parking permits are listed on the documentation that comes with your permit.
- The permit must be clearly visible on the left hand side of the front dash of the vehicle.
- The permit is not valid for a caravan, motorbike, trailer, long vehicle or heavy vehicle.
- The permit is only valid for use whilst carrying out the services of the not for profit organisation.
- The permit is not valid for on street parking.
- The permit must not be copied or reproduced.
- The permit is only valid for use in an area that is signed to permit at least 2 hours of parking and it is necessary to park the vehicle for longer than the maximum time indicated on the sign.
Permits can be renewed each year by notifying the City. They are valid for one calendar year from 1 September to 31 August. We will notify you when your permit is due for renewal.

Fee
No fees apply for a not-for-profit parking permit.
Apply for a permit
To apply for a new not-for-profit parking permit, you need to:
- provide evidence that the organisation is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission
- supply a letter advising the parking allocation on the premise
- complete the application form.
