Not-for-profit parking permit

Who can apply?

Organisations must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.

If you have an existing permit, do not apply for a new one. You can amend your existing permit to update car or contact details by visiting our Amend/cancel a parking permit page.

If you have misplaced or damaged your permit and need to order a replacement, visit Request replacement approval documentation for a parking permit.

Conditions of use

The conditions of use for not-for-profit parking permits are listed on the documentation that comes with your permit.

  1. The permit must be clearly visible on the left hand side of the front dash of the vehicle.
  2. The permit is not valid for a caravan, motorbike, trailer, long vehicle or heavy vehicle.
  3. The permit is only valid for use whilst carrying out the services of the not for profit organisation.
  4. The permit is not valid for on street parking.
  5. The permit must not be copied or reproduced.

Permits may be renewed annually by way of acknowledgement to the City. They are valid for one calendar year from 1 September to 31 August. We will notify you when your permit is due for renewal.

Fee

No fees apply for a not-for-profit parking permit.

Apply for a permit

To apply for a new not-for-profit parking permit, you need to:

  • provide evidence that the organisation is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission
  • supply a letter advising the parking allocation on the premise
  • complete the application form.

  • a written statement providing information on the car park arrangements on our premises.

Step 3.Send us your completed application form

Email your completed application form and copies of supporting documents to: mail@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.

In person

Step 3.Visit one of our customer service centres

Submit your application at one of our customer service centres (Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 4.30pm).

Please bring your supporting documentation with you.
