Broadbeach parking

Some streets in of Broadbeach fall within the Central Traffic Area, which is part of our Traffic Area and Parking Permit Scheme. Time-limited parking (3 hours) applies in the Central Traffic Area from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (except as signed).

You cannot move your car to a different spot within this timed parking Traffic Area and continue to park there.

If you do not move your car entirely out of the timed parking area after the designated time limit has expired, you may be subject to a parking fine.

Parking in Broadbeach includes:

• Central Traffic Area parking (limited to 3 hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, within the traffic area)
• resident and visitor parking permits
• free on-street time-limited parking as signed (9am to 7pm, every day including public holidays)
• paid metered parking
  • some parking has variable pricing, with the fee changing in response to demand peaks
  • some parking has progressive parking, allowing users to stay longer than previously available

Free parking

Broadbeach has around 160 paid on-street spaces in the main CBD; everything else is free.

Metered parking

Metered parking exists in the following areas and applies seven days a week (9am to 7pm), including public holidays. You can pay for parking using cash, credit cards or the EasyPark app. For more information about how to pay visit Metered parking.

Parking permits

Resident parking permits for the Central Traffic Area are provided at no cost to those who are eligible.

Resident parking permits are issued for a calendar year. Visitor parking permits are issued for an annual fee. Visit the pages below for eligibility criteria and details of how to apply.

Council carparks
