Traffic CCTV footage
Our Traffic Camera Network provides a live feed of traffic conditions on Council roads. The network helps us manage traffic flow and traffic incidents.
Traffic CCTV footage from our network may be available on request. Footage is available for up to 14 days from the date of recording.
The application process is different for government organisations and individuals/non-government organisations.
There is a separate application process for requesting footage from our Safety Camera Network.
How to apply
Government requests
The following government organisations can make a request:
- Queensland Police Service
- Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads
- Other local and state government
Government request for traffic CCTV footage
No fee is payable for this application. Requests will be processed within 5 working days.
Reviewing footage is time consuming. The more specific the information you provide, the more efficient the search will be.
Applicants will be contacted by email to arrange an online transfer when the footage has been extracted. Footage is no longer available for collection on site.
Individual and non-government organisation requests
You can contact us for information about our traffic CCTV footage or if you have been directly involved in an incident and you would like to know if we have any footage available. Please email: roadops2@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.
