Neighbourhood Watch
Neighbourhood Watch needs you!
We're asking Gold Coasters to get behind Neighbourhood Watch. Volunteer, meet your neighbours and play an active role in your community.
The program is about working together as a community to improve our personal safety and household security. Most importantly, it's about encouraging communication between neighbours and gaining a sense of community spirit. We're increasing resources for local Neighbourhood Watch groups, including providing subsidised meeting venues, training for members, and partnering on crime prevention projects.
Building a more active, engaged and involved Neighbourhood Watch across the Gold Coast was a key outcome of the Mayoral Safer Suburbs Forum. The Forum, made up of Mayor Tom Tate, city leaders, the Queensland Police Service and local community representatives meets regularly with the aim of making the Gold Coast one of the safest cities to live, work and visit.
