Act for Kids

Act for Kids provides a variety of support programs for families on the Gold Coast.

Family and Child Connect is a short-term service offering advice, information, and referrals to help with parenting challenges. It’s open to all families or service providers seeking support. To get help, call 13FAMILY (13 32 64).

Safecare is an in-home parenting program for families with children aged 0–5. It offers coaching on child health, home safety, bonding, and protective behaviours.

Referrals can come from families, schools, health services, or community groups.

Flourish Child and Family Therapy is a free counselling service for families who can’t access other funded options. We develop a therapy plan based on assessments and use a wide range of therapy techniques to work through trauma, and family members can be included in the session if required. Therapy is held weekly or fortnightly in Labrador.
