Join us to celebrate Cuban dance, music and art through our annual events, as well as local workshops.

Afrekete Inc is the home of our annual Afro-Cuban Drum & Dance Festival by the Sea, featuring authentic Cuban dance, music and culture experts. Experience a real piece of Cuba in Australia! This festival can be hosted all over Queensland, with many of our members and a few main artists based on the Gold Coast.

We'd love to share with you authentic Cuban culture through a weekend of dance and music performances from esteemed Cuban artists. Our Afro-Cuban Folkloric ensemble is also available to perform or teach at your event or festival.
