Homelessness
Homelessness can affect anyone of any age and can be temporary or long term. A safe and secure home is a fundamental need. We recognise the critical issue of affordable housing in our city and support coordinated efforts to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.
In all interactions with people experiencing homelessness, the City will ensure the person’s human rights are given proper consideration.
Do you need help?
If you are experiencing homelessness, at risk of becoming homeless or know someone who is, refer to the following support options.
Gold Coast Zero Campaign
We have joined the Gold Coast Homelessness Network to progress the Gold Coast Zero Campaign. This campaign is a community-based effort to build public support for ending homelessness. It also calls for renewed Federal and State investment in housing, support services and healthcare.
